Society for Women Development & Empowerment of Nigeria (SWODEN) is a non-discriminatory and not-for-profit Non-governmental organization. The organization was established in 1995 and registered with Corporate Affairs Commission to address current challenges faced by women and youth in accessing basic information and services at the community level that affects their development and also participation in policy development at both micro and macro level. Activities are drawn from their felt needs through grassroots participation and mobilization and use of community structures to ensure sustainability.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Supervisor

Location: Katsina
Job type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise field-level staff and volunteers implemen ng project ac vi es.
• Monitor activity implementa on, ensuring adherence to plans and quality standards.
• Provide mentorship and support to grassroots workers and community mobilizers.
• Report on progress, challenges, and recommenda ons to higher management.
• Engage with community leaders and stakeholders to promote project ownership.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field; Social Sciences, Education, or Public Health preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in field supervision or community development.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to live and work in rural or semi-urban areas.
• Fluency in local languages may be required depending on location.

Other Requirements:

• Nigerian citizenship or valid work permit.
• Strong commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confiden ality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Team player with excellent communication and management skills.
