The Congenital Heart Disease Foundation of Nigeria (CHDF) is a non-profit organization that supports children and persons with Congenital Heart Disease popularly called Hole in the Heart in Nigeria. The foundation is envisioned to be the leading charity organization in Nigeria supporting the CHD cause. Our mission “to create a paradigm shift in the current status of congenital heart disease in Nigeria through awareness campaign and advocacy; support; education and research promotion” states the 4 main areas we are focusing on to achieve our vision.

As a Research Officer (Volunteer), you will support the foundation’s mission by:

  • Conducting literature reviews and gathering data on congenital heart disease and related health issues.
  • Assisting in the design and implementation of research projects and surveys.
  • Analyzing data and preparing reports, briefs, and presentations.
  • Supporting the development of evidence-based advocacy materials.
  • Collaborating with other team members on research-driven campaigns and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in health research, public health, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with research tools and data analysis software is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to volunteerism and social impact.
