Role Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Central Control Room Engineer located in Kaduna.
- The Central Control Room Engineer will be responsible for process control, electrical engineering, troubleshooting, motion control, and robotics to ensure the efficient operation of the control room.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Monitor and control all sections of the plant process lines from the CCR.
- Provide constant feedback and guidance to shift coordinators, engineers, patrollers, and operators.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot potential operating problems.
- Review plant automation systems and make recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports on work undertaken.
- Supervise staff to ensure smooth operation and cleanliness of conveyor belts.
- Achieve production targets during respective shifts.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Chemical Processing Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5-10 years of working experience in a similar role as a CCR Operator.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of the iron ore production process.
- Good knowledge of product quality parameters and quality control.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Strong supervisory skills and attention to detail.
- Candidates within Kaduna and close proximity are preferred.
