GOAL/PURPOSE

  • The Program Manager will play a key role to oversee and coordinate the implementation of the NIN enrolment initiative for WFP beneficiaries in collaboration with WFP and NIMC. The Program Manager/Project Manager will ensure the successful execution of the project, from planning to implementation, while addressing the financial inclusion of underserved and displaced populations. The Program Manager directly reports to the Program Coordinator with an Indirect Report to the WFP Program Lead.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop a detailed project plan outlining activities, timelines, and resources required for the NIN enrolment initiative.
  • Coordinate with WFP and NIMC to align project goals and ensure all parties are informed and engaged.
  • Schedule and lead regular coordination meetings with WFP, NIMC, and other stakeholders. 2)Message Development and Dissemination:
  • Collaborate with WFP and NIMC to create key messages for dissemination to beneficiaries.
  • Ensure that all communications are clear, accurate, and culturally appropriate.
  • Oversee the distribution of informational materials to beneficiaries.

Awareness Campaigns:

  • Lead initiatives to raise awareness among beneficiaries about the requirements and benefits of acquiring a NIN.
  • Organize informational sessions and community outreach events to educate beneficiaries.
  • Ensure materials are accessible to all, including those with disabilities.

Community Engagement:

  • Facilitate community engagements to determine suitable periods and schedules for enrolment.
  • Engage community leaders and mobilize community structures to support enrolment activities.
  • Ensure that enrolment activities consider the availability of children and accommodate their schedules, potentially including weekends.

Mobilization of Community Leaders:

  • Identify and recruit community leaders who can provide attestation for beneficiaries as needed.
  • Train community leaders on their roles and responsibilities in the enrolment process.

Supervision and Support:

  • Oversee the enrolment process at various locations, ensuring that all activities are conducted smoothly and efficiently.
  • Establish complaint and feedback mechanisms/help desks at enrolment locations to address beneficiaries’ concerns and provide information.
  • Ensure the protection and inclusion of people with disabilities and considerations for gender in all project activities.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor project progress, collect data on enrolment activities, and address any emerging issues.
  • Compile and submit regular reports to WFP and NIMC, detailing progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure accountability to the affected population by incorporating feedback mechanisms and transparent reporting practices.

Financial Management:

  • Oversee the project budget and ensure that funds are used efficiently and transparently.
  • Coordinate with financial teams to manage project expenditures and financial reporting.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with WFP, NIMC, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular updates and meetings to ensure ongoing alignment and cooperation.

JOB PROFILE:

  • Education: HND/BSC/BA/B.TEC/LLB/ or any equivalent Qualification from a recognized Institution. An advanced degree is an added advantage
  • Experience: Six (6) years Progressively responsible experience in the Humanitarian sector
  • Languages: English and Hausa languages. Knowledge of the local dialect is desirable
