Synthetic description of the position
- Under the authority of the Councilor of Cooperation and Cultural Action (COCAC), you design, animate and pilot the cultural cooperation policy of the post in relation to the orientations of public policy, to promote French expertise.
Main activities
This position is located in the’ antenna of the SCAC within the Consulate General of France in Lagos.
In this context, you will need to :
- Design, negotiate and implement bilateral cultural and artistic cooperation projects within the framework of the policy defined by the Embassy and the COCAC.
- Define and implement an annual budget programming. Follow up actions financed from public appropriations, in particular as regards aid for cultural cooperation.
- Develop relations with local authorities, French operators and with the beneficiaries of cultural cooperation actions.
- To develop professional and social networks in order to promote the visibility of cultural cooperation. Seek funding and raise funds from public and private donors.
Diplomas or professional experience recommended to perform the duties
- Master 2 or equivalent, in cultural development, culture management, management of’cultural enterprises or equivalent.
- Successful professional experience in cultural professions.
- Knowledge of international cultural networks.
- Good writing skills, in french and english, and ability to communicate in public.
- Knowledge, a taste for teamwork, loyalty and a sense of common interest. Knowledge or mastery of’a local language, would be an asset.
- Knowledge of the region as well.
